This is my wheel altered project it is approx. 3" x 3". The colors on it are clear and pink stain. The pink stain accents the top of it. The skill I learned was how to alter the project and how to foot the project.
This is my wheel cups set of 3. They are all approx. 3 x 3 1/2. They are all glazed black and white. Black on the handle side and white on the other. I learned no new skill but I improved my already known skills. My set of 3 is exactly the same. They go together as a set because they are replicas of each other
this is a plate. size is unknown. the colors are clear glaze, and pink and purple stain. the pink stain spells out 'love life' and is the color of the heart and the purple is the "heart beats". the skill that i learned is how to pull out instead of up to make the plate and how to get the base to the right thickness.
This is a cup. It is 3 1/2 x 3 inches. The colors on it are clear and pink stain. The texture is smooth. The polka dots gives the project the sense of movement.
This is a soup bowl. Size is unknown. It is small but it can be a child's soup bowl. I used cobalt blue and torquoise for an alternating pattern. The skill that I used with this project is to just pull up even so it doesn't go off center. The art element that could be representing this piece is the the alternating colors give it a smaller look to it.
This is a bowl. Size is unknown. The texture of it is rough. The heart on the bowl is pink stain with pink and purple dots also in stain. Then I put clear over it. The art skill that I learned while making this project is how to fix uneven walls without destroying the project. An art element that goes with this project is that the color of the heart is a pop of color to a neutral base color. This is a tall project. Size is unknown. It it very smooth, it has a rough texture on the inside where there is no glaze. The color of this piece is Cobalt Blue all on the out side except it stops at the beginning of the faceting. It has blue on the inside of the rim and it drips down inside. The new skill I have learned while making this project is to pull from the top, then middle, then bottom so the project doesn't get wobbly. The skills that I used to make this project gave me the idea of just throwing simple projects and then using glazes to really accent the project more. |
