This is a tall project. It is glazed with clear and black. the outside design creates an illusion to fish scales and the inside design wants to force you to see the image as a 2
This is a teapot. It is made out of regular clay and glazed with clear and black. The lid was too small for it but it fit just enough to where I thought it would be okay if I glazed it. Obviously it fell through and got glazed to the bottom of it. I like to think of it as an abstract piece of art that was not suppose to happen. This project is a really simple, small pitcher. it is made out of porcelain and glazed with clear and burnt orange color. the orange is sponged on which is a new technique for glazing that I learned recently. the sponging of the orange gives the project a blurry kind of look to it. I didn't learn any new techniques when i was making this project, I just improved my previous skills and techniques of throwing. This is my wheel altered project. It is a pumpkin that is glazed with a burnt orange color. This particular pumpkin is actually a candle holder with a small lid on the top. there are small holes on the front of it that will allow the light from the candle to shine through. This project gives a sense of the fall season with it. The skills that I learned with this project is how to throw a closed form project and then alter it to make the lines and the stem and the lid. this is a closed formed jar. it is made out of porcelain and glazed wirh just clear. the lid is made by pulling up the sides and choking the top of it until it is closed and then flattening the top to make that botton top. and then taking the pin tool and cutting a top for it. the skill that I learned was throwing closed form projects. |
